Status of the project	Issuance of Prequalified Bidders has been on Jan. 2010, Expected Request for Tendering: March/2010, Expected Financial Closure: Q4/2010.

The Ministry of Housing Utilities and Urban Development (“MHUUD”) with the technical assistance of the PPP Central Unit in the Ministry of Finance (“MoF”) wishes to attract private sector participation for the construction, operation & maintenance of Wastewater Treatment Plant with capacity 150,000 m3/day in addition to the operation & maintenance of an adjacent plant with a capacity 100,000 m3/day & to increase its capacity to be 250,000 m3/day which is currently under construction through Public-Private Partnership to serve the Governorate of 6th of October. The investor will be required to design, construct, finance, operate and maintain the WWTP and transfer the ownership back to the MHUUD at the end of the contract.
