The PPP partner receives a periodical fee for making available to the Government client the facilities and providing the services. The facilities and services have to meet the standards set out in the contract. If they fail to do for reasons that are at the Partner’s risk, payments are reduced in accordance with formulae in the contract

What do you mean by Public Private Partnership? It’s a long-term contract between a Government body and a Private sector partner under which the partner builds, operates and finances facilities for Government and/or public use. The contract sets out an elaborate rulebook for a relationship that is expected to last up to 20years or more. The partner is paid on a periodical basis over the operating phase of the contract, so after construction and payment levels are subject to performance. At the end of the contract the facilities transfer to the Government.
